The Diesel House

Elaborating on the storyline created for Beginning, a piece was made at the ICIDS exhibition, held in a large diesel museum in Copenhagen, December 2015, The Diesel House.

After surveying the rooms on offer for the LARP, it was decided to stage the work around and actually on the three-storey high, working diesel engine. A further staging area, a kind of sandpit, made of hardboard pieces, contained in a large circular area, delineated by thick red plastic tubing. In the centre of the pit, a collection of old wooden boxes were piled haphazardly, each stuffed with crumpled paper and broken pieces of polystyrene. A different one-word instruction or description was scrawled upon each slip of paper.

THE CABIN

The Cabin is an installation including sculptures and artefacts made from computer parts, drawings. paintings. graffiti made by participants in the LARP, Beginning, and appropriated objects. Tables were roped together to form bunk beds, scenarios were set up of domestic life in a dystopian world and a claustrophobic corner was made with crude surveillance items with which the players could track their assailants, the Nephilim.
